The project below is a divergence from a suggested side-project my mentor wanted me to try (do a number of abstract color-shape studies of the digital works, to distill them down into their most important component parts).
I’m still working on her original suggestion and also decided to use paint to combine several different stills into the same surface–essentially mimicking the digital layering technique that allows me to combine thin, transparent components into painted form.
