Additional horizons. I’m expecting to work with these as projections and as large-scale printed scrolls. Increasing their physical scale would emphasize the sense of geographic, ambiguous spatial presence.
They are behaving both as panoramas and as bizarre sequenced moments to me.
These are great. Love the presentations as wide screen projections or printed scrolls..
Thanks, Jonathan! As projections, they would gradually fade one into the next, like the work of Douglas Gordon. The viewer may not immediately realize the image is shifting to a different one, but subtle changes are taking place.
And I definitely need to experiment with printing these horizon works on long scrolls. It may not be the final output, but needs to be tried.
