Processing Project – Interactive Colorforms!

Untitled_dig Untitled-1

In order to explore all of the possibilities of marrying new and old media, I’m learning a couple of programming languages, including Processing. The above stills are from a drawing platform program I just made, which allows you to move and merge objects. Clicking the mouse cleans the canvas of all but the most basic shapes.

Makes me think of Colorforms and Constructivism!

Obviously this is a very simple investigation, but there are interesting things happening in the picture plane that I’d like to continue pushing. Thinking of how this will relate to my main body of work, of course!

To give it a try yourself, go to the little practice page I made for it. It runs on Javascript.
