Doing two more drawings related to the Amphitheater. These are part of a side project, based on interpreting printmaking marks through charcoal and Prismacolor. The interesting thing to this is that the original intaglio pieces translate drawn and reductive marks made through soap ground, hard ground, soft ground and Sharpie.
It’s engaging to play with distorted perspective, suggestive abstraction and direct marks, rather than relying on print marks.
